No, they just installed a DRM browser plugin without your permission. The plugin has a serious security flaw that effectively turns it into an accidental Trojan, allowing it to run any program on your PC. On Monday, Ubisoft issued a patch that allows the plugin to only launch Uplay. Here is whole story. And here is more info about the plugin.

My personal recommendation: only buy Ubisoft's products if ubistupid. :slap:
