I have decided to wait until I have the Phenom, to start running benchmarks on this board, as doing so with the sempron is going to be quite meaningless. However so you don't have to wait, here are the pictures taken during unboxing and assembly. I'll let them do the talking, expect a more in depth review including performance analysis when the Phenom X6 processors are released.

ATI Radeon HD 5870 Initial Review & CPU Bottleneck Comparison

Today I'll be taking my first look at AMD's ATI Radeon HD 5870. The particular board and cooler is a reference model and built by ATI, although branded by PowerColor. I will be looking at how a slightly older, more mainstream, processor, motherboard and ram combo fairs with one of these new cards, as opposed to many reviews which feature an i7 test bed. You can see the full system setup later in the review. Anyway, lets jump straight into what you have probably seen 100 times, the card's technical specifications!
