XBOX 360 Gets The Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition and Dark Edition

The Witcher 2 fans have something to get excited about, judging by a YouTube video that Gamespot posted. It's a trailer for two new editions, called Enhanced Edition and Dark Edition, both of which are released on April 17th on the XBOX 360 – PC and PlayStation 3 owners are left out in the cold on this one, unfortunately.

The game has won many awards and is generally highly praised however, developer CD Project Red are not sitting on their laurels just watching the cash come in. No, they're continuing to invest heavily in the game and it shows in the amount of new content and being put into these new editions: all previous improvements and DLCs, completely new content, new cinematic intro, new cutscenes, new characters, new locations, new user interface and controls, new adventures and an extended outro. They also claim no compromise on quality, but it isn't clear what they mean by that.

Finally, the bit that is likely to get gamers really hot under the collar is the claim that it's "the most mature and complex game on consoles". By this, it would appear that it would feature hot steamy sex scenes (discretely censored) of course. The start of the video rates it at mature 17+ and lists the following heart-pounding goodies for any keen male teenager: blood and gore, intense violence, nudity, strong language, strong sexual content and use of drugs. Surely, all that strong sex will make the player go blind…
