Bigger guns, more fun
Battlefield 3 has three expansion packs on the way., according to developer DICE's Battlelog. Yesterday, Electronic Arts invited DICE lead developer Niklas Fegraeus onto the stage of its Summer Showcase event where he described these expansion packs which between them feature 20 new maps, 20 new weapons and 10 new vehicles delivered over four new game modes.

The icing on the cake however, was a small clip showing Armored Kill's new 'Tank Superiority' mode. Armored Kill, due for release in September, also introduces a new map, Armored Shield (article picture) set in Russia.

I'm still of the opinion that the best Battlefield games were 1942 and Vietnam.
Those that like the future-themed games praise 2142.
BF2 was fun. BC2 didn't hook me, but some friends of mine were.
This "Platinum" stuff reeks of CoD style and Origin isn't helping it.

Seriously wish Battlefield wasn't backed by EA. In some other publishers hands, this series would've been amazing.
